Attack report:

My dog Rudy (Pomeranian X) walked past two Staffy type dogs and their owner (blonde lady, middle-aged). Barking ensued to which Rudy responded by barking back. Before we knew it, the dogs had escaped the owner’s grip and were charging towards us. Trying to protect Rudy from the more vicious one of the two, I received a gash on the back of my thigh (not sure if it was a bite or claws) while Rudy was being chased and pinned down by the second dog. Injured, I let Rudy’s lead go hoping that he’d try to run while I blocked at least one vicious dog from attacking him. The owner of the dogs witnessed the attack and did not even apologise to me or show any concern towards my welfare. She implied that ‘as long as Rudy wasn’t hurt, it’s okay’ despite hearing me groaning and repeatedly saying I was bleeding. All she said was that her dog(s) go to puppy school to seemingly justify herself. In shock, I failed to take any pictures of the owner and dogs. I had to get treated by the doctor the next day and got a tetanus shot. Wound is so deep, it hasn’t healed yet. Rudy isn’t hurt physically, but is so shook up, he refuses to go walkies. Council said there’s nothing I could do as I don’t have the owners details. How disappointing.
